Some of the things I learned this week

This past week has been very interesting.  Rev. Doug Klinedinst, Rev. Billy Cole, and many others have been here at The Pentecostals of Lee Rd.   There have been many prophetic words, healings, and miracles during this last week.  The Spiritual activity in this area has been phenomenal, but what have I learned?

I have learned several things.  One thing I have learned, or realized, however not until the last night, is just how much the enemy does not want God to do the miraculous.   The enemy has been trying every avenue to try to distract.  He has tried thru the avenue of bad attitudes, anger, jobs, technical equipment, people, you name it, he has tried it.  When the Bible says he goes about as a ROARING LION seeking whom he may devour, he has been roaring this week.  Distraction will keep us from getting what we really need from God if we let it.

Another thing that I have relearned if you will, is that you have got to have absolute faith that God will do what he says.   Believing is the first step to receiving.  We say we want miracles, signs, andwonders.  We want the prophetic word, but when it comes right down to it we must believe and doubt not.  It says in Matt. 13:58And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.   God’s promises are yea and amen.  If he said he will do it then he will do it.

I have also learned that God sets up men. You can have titles, positions, and even some authority, but it is Godwho sets up Apostolic authority. God is the one who endues with power.  People can set you up, but without God setting you up, you are just a shell with no real authority.

One last thing that I have relearned, is that God is desiring us to get back to being apostolic. Not just in name, but in demonstration.  He is calling for the church to havefull use of the five fold ministry, and for the gifts of the Spirit to be in full operation.  I have noticed this week and also from different pastors and friends that I have talkedto.  The church is on its way back to being Apostolic.  Then enemy has distracted the church to long with fear of the gifts, and things that have stolen the power of the church.

God stir us, and remind us that we are the Apostolic church.  Make us powerful, and compassionate people. To use what we have to reach the lost.   Thank you for men and woman that have sacrificed for us to have what we have,  and don’t let me take for granted your Spirit.

Go, Preach, Disciple

Go ye into all the World

Mark 16:15 Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature

The Lord is not willing that any should perish.   The whole point and purpose of God coming down  and robing himself in flesh was and is to redeem man from his fallen state, to bring us back into relationship with him.

God has given us a perfect plan of salvation.  This salvation not only affects us in the future but also right now here on earth.  It gives us power over our flesh.    – if any man be in Christ he is a NEW CREATURE.

Right before the opening scripture Jesus had appeared to Mary, and a couple of disciples.  When they told it to the others they did not believe Jesus was really alive. We have Got to believe that Jesus is really alive in order for us to reach the world.   The Lord wants us to go and preach and make disciples.

The disciples were huddled together if  you will in fear of what had happened to Jesus. They suddenly couldn’t remember that he said he would rise again.  They suddenly couldn’t believe all the miracles he had performed.  They couldn’t believe how he had raised the dead.   When Jesus finally appeared to them He had to rebuke their unbelief.  Then Jesus was able to tell them go and preach to every creature.

God wants us to go and preach and make disciples also.  Reaching the lost is not always about the four walls of the church.  Yes it is a place that lives are changed. Lets not be like the disciples and be afraid and only believe God at church.   Once unbelief was rebuked and they received the holy Ghost they received Power.   Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses……

Suddenly fear was turned to boldness.  They no longer cared about what could happen to them, and they cared about what could happen to others if they would share Jesus with them.  Mathew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body,  but are not able to kill the souls.

Jesus must flow out of us.  Everywhere Jesus went people were attracted to him. When the disciples received the Holy Ghost it did not matter where they were or what would happen to them they shared Jesus.  ITS TIME TO GET OUR POWER ON

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us; Who can be against us

The Apostolic Ways

I have recently been in some very powerful church services here, at The Pentecostals Of Lee Rd Community Church.  I have been going to church my whole life, and have seen some awesome services before, but these have to be in the top 10. The apostolic way, Acts 2:42  And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.   In recent years I believe there has been a consistent drifting away of what it means to really be apostolic.  Sure we have tried to say its just being more progressive and trying new ways to reach people.  We now have light shows, we have contemporary music and not accordions, we have plays, we have the greatest most popular preachers.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not take me wrong I am for all that stuff. I am for excellence. I am for progress.  What I am not for, however is taking God out of the picture and having self reliance on those things.  If we don’t have God, and his Spirit moving and living, and being in demonstration, then we are as sounding brass and a tinkling cymbal.  We hear about good church, but no alter calls, nobody filled with the Holy Ghost, nobody healed, no one delivered, no baptisms, and none of the Gifts being in operation.  Lets not kid ourselves if we don’t have a move of God then why are we doing all these things.  The bible says in Mark 16:17  These signs SHALL FOLLOW them that believe.  God has not changed he is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  The apostles had fruit.  They were not just hearers of the word, but they were doers of the word.   When they laid hands on the sick they did recover.  When they laid hands on people to receive the Holy Ghost People received the Holy Ghost.   Paul said he did not come with enticing words of mans wisdom, but in power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost.   In these Services at The Pentecostals of Lee Rd  I have seen Whole families receive the Holy Ghost. I have seen people healed of cancer that was confirmed by doctors.  I have seen a teenage girl healed of diabetes, and her, and her mom receive the Holy Ghost.  In one of the services people were what the old timers used to say “Slain in the Spirit”    I have seen the Gifts of the Spirit in full operation.  Tongues and interpretation,  Word of Knowledge, Prophetic words, and the list goes on. Jer. 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls……We have the lighting, the newest worship music, new ways to reach people, THE ABSOLUTE BEST.  There is one thing we have that many churches don’t have.  The demonstration and power of God. I do not say this to be full of pride or puffed up.    It is a result of much prayer and fasting.  Now is the time more than ever to return to the old paths.   Can your hear the voice of God calling,  Can you not pray with me one hour, as he told his disciples.  John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Return to the apostolic ways,  return to living and being led by the Spirit.  Crucify the flesh and let God be in control.  Its to late to JUST HAVE CHURCH.  People want a change, not a program.  Thank God there are still some churches that try and follow God.  I pray that Gods Spirit will draw all men to hunger and to thirst for a real move of God.    Its time to return to      The Apostolic Ways

The Finisher

Joshua, a man that was full of faith and a great leader.  Joshua thought positively when asked to spy out the land he seen it from a positive perspective.  He was a man that was chosen by God to fill Moses shoes because he followed the Lord in every way.  Joshua did what was asked of him, if he was asked to go spy he spied, if he was asked to fight he fought. Joshua finished what he did.  The Lord would command him to do something and he did it.   Joshua was a finisher.  Yes many men in the bible would start things and even be used of God, but how many times did they end up not finishing, or falling away from what God wanted them to be.   Moses, disobeyed God and could not enter into promised land.  Saul, called out to be a great king, but was always fearful and thought David would take his kingdom.  Saul many times would not finish what the Lord told him to do.    Joshua however would do exactly what the Lord told him.  In fact the Lord would tell him that he would deliver his enemies into his hand.   The enemies would gather against Israel and God himself would fight.  In one instance God caused a great hailstorm and it killed more than what Joshua and his army killed.  In another place God told Joshua to get ready to go and fight and the next day they would find their enemy dead.  So what am I trying to say.  When God has called you out,   we are a royal priesthood, a chosen generation,  we must follow.  Not only follow but be a finisher.   I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.  This life that we live is not just about us, it is about others.  Sure we can have a great time and enjoy it, but if we only do half of what we have been called to do then we are not finishers.  Lives will not be changed, victories will not be won, and ultimately God will not be pleased.   I urge you today God has called us for such a time as this.  Either be hot or cold, lukewarm or half finished will not do.
